Homestead Tax Exemption
General Purpose: The HOMESTEAD TAX CREDIT is intended to provide tax relief for thos who own and occupy a home in Iowa.
Impact: Reduces Taxable Value by $4,850.
Filing Dates: You must file an application on or before July 1st of the current year to receive the credit for this year. If you file after July 1st of the current year, you will receive the credit for the following year.
